Wireless Internet

   The Honeymoon Suite is a perfect setting at the end of a day of viewing the sights of Vancouver like the Aquarium, Capilano Suspension Bridge and the Granville Island Market. Time Out
   I needed a "time out" from my hectic life, so I booked a stay at the Beach Retreat and I'm glad I did. My stay was very relaxing and quiet.Just what I needed. I especially enjoyed the hot tub and sauna. The view is an ever changing kaleidoscope of colors. I toured around Belcarra Park and Bedwell Bay. The food at the local "Point Pub" was just great. In the Most Amazing Setting

Anniversary Celebration
   We decided to celebrate our 6th Anniversary in the Lower Mainland and picked the At the Beach Retreat B&B and are we glad we did. We golfed 18 holes at one of the many reasonably priced golf courses in the area, went for a walk along the beach, had a soak in the hot tub and just relaxed on the deck. Nick and Lise cook up some amazing food. The bar-B-Q dinner was just yummy! We also learned to play Backgammon. Everything was just perfect to celebrate 6 wonderful years. House Hunting
   While house hunting in the Lower Mainland, we decided to stay at the Beach Retreat because of its central location. It's near all the highways and freeways to get you where you need to go in the Greater Lower Mainland. The hosts, Nick and Lise, are a wonderful couple. They are amongst the friendliest people in Port Moody. The Jacuzzi was amazing and helped make for some romantic evenings at the end of a stressful day of house hunting. The fabulous breakfasts got us off to a good start each morning. It ended up we bought a house in Port Moody, we liked it so much! Mark and Katrina Edwards - Rossland, BC

Wonderful Weather Moods
   While on our vacation to British Columbia, we decided to spend much of it at the Beach Retreat. One thing I noticed with its location, is the wonderful weather moods. Rainy one minute, then the sun would come out and produce a beautiful rainbow! The sunsets are something else. We especially liked the "Spa Suite" down stairs. Jacuzzi, sauna, shower message and fireplace. You can't beat that combination after a tough day of site seeing. Nick is very friendly, informative and a great cook. Lise is a wonderful conversationalist. We especially loved the nature you see from the deck. We named the two seals that like to sun bath on the dock, Wally and Dolly. The eagle was very graceful! Watching the World Go By
   I had a wonderful time just sitting on the deck, watching the world go by. The cold refreshments and appetizers didn't hurt either. I found it very peaceful watching the water skiers and kayaks doing their thing. I had a great restful time and loved the sauna. Nick prepared great food and baked fresh homemade cookies for our departure. I will definitely be telling my friends and family about this little gem of a B&B! We had a great stay in this wonderful suite, thanks for making this such a cozy place. There could not have been a better set up for us when we visited family nearby, we were close enough to walk back and forth to see family, but far enough away to get peace and quiet when we needed it! Our Wedding Night

This was our wedding night. Weather was perfect and we got married at a wonderful place - I would recommend Old Orchard Hall – it is beautiful venue for a wedding. Fantastic Meal

We are here for our fifth wedding anniversary and found the perfect retreat to spend some precious time together. I loved the views and special touches in the Guest Suite, we felt very much at home here and welcomed by our hosts.  Nick rustled up a fantastic meal for us when we arrived late it was much appreciated.

Another great stay!

Awesome bed, awesome shower, awesome food and awesome hosts

Nick, you take what a B&B should be and go far above and beyond what you would find anywhere else!   And we found it in our own backyard, it seems like every time we had a thought of something I needed  I would look up and it would be staring me in the face.  Among all the chaos of our wedding you gave us the space and time that belonged only to us, I can't express how much that means, thank you again.

My favorite moments were being served breakfast on the deck, relaxing at the end of the dock with wine and good conversation.  We relaxed in the gazebo looking at the view and listening to beautiful music. There is an awesome bed, awesome shower, awesome food and awesome hosts

Thank you very much to Nick and Lise, you both made this a very very special day for us, I hope we will be visiting you again soon.

The massage in the gazebo was wonderful and the sunsets while sitting on the deck were perfect. And the crab cakes, they were perfect too!

Lise was fantastic, thank you so much for the champagne, chocolate strawberries and the bride and groom towels such thoughtful touches. We highly recommend At The Beach Retreat.

Home away from home

Our favorite moments were spending a romantic vacation with my new husband and the boat ride out to the log booms to see the Seals was wonderful. Kayaking in Indian Arm was great, we really enjoyed the Pacific Rim Grill and Nick’s wonderful kitchen. It was a great honeymoon trip,

Thank you for wonderful weekend and sharing your home with us. Fantastic views and a feeling of home away from home, excellent night sleeps in a very comfortable bed.

Wonderful Crab Feast

I would recommend the view from our room at the beach! We loved the restaurants in Port Moody. Our favorite moment was our wedding near by. Nick and Lise’s attention to detail and hospitality is wonderful.

You looked after us I grandly and nothing was too much trouble, we loved the wonderful crab feast to round off a great week.

Flowers, fruit & fluffy towels

I would recommend this place highly, it's obviously filled with little touches, flowers, fruit, fluffy towels, and everything exactly where you might need them. You are such friendly hosts that it gave me the constant sense of someone taking care of all the little things. Thank you again!

Honeymoon Delight

The purpose of our trip was a honeymoon, we had a party with friends, sunbathing, swimming and sauna with good friends. Great food, we loved the salad dressing, thanks for the secret recipe!

The water was perfect, the crab dinner with Risotto was unbeatable, this was the best vacation ever thank you. You allowed us to invite our friends over for one of the best meals we've ever had - a great time.

You guys thought of everything from the fresh flowers to the hair clip in the bathroom, to the fresh Okanagon cherries. The wonderful jazz music set the ambience, and the water toys gave us something to play with. You guys got the point believe me the list would go on for ever .

Every little thing made this day so much more memorable, we had the Eggs Benedict today, marvelous, we will definitely be seeing you again soon, best wishes.

A very special, quiet place

A very special, quiet place. Do nothing but relax, and enjoy great food.  Wonderful hosts at this B&B thank you again. The breakfast on the deck was exquisite and Old Orchard Hall was a great place for our wedding.

Waking up on the waterfront

Our favorite moment was enjoying the great view Down the Inlet. Waking up on the waterfront and having a peaceful unrushed morning is fabulous. We enjoyed an amazing weekend away from the norm, quality time with each other doing what we want, when we want, very enjoyable, we will be back.

The sauna was heaven

My favorite moment was Sunday morning in the hot tub! We really enjoyed Nick and Lise and of course the cats! All were very welcoming and friendly, the sauna was heaven, and the bed super comfy. We so enjoyed spending time on the dock, in the hot tub and seeing all the wildlife, this is always the calm spot during a hectic trip.

We were told this was heaven, the hot tub, champagne and old friends it's all right here and we will be back.

We are here to hang out with our friends, we love staying here, everything was perfect, great breakfast thank you. We'd like to return next summer when we can enjoy the outdoors more. We love the casual style and unbelievable view, the bed is so comfortable and beautifully put together.  I have a real thing about good sheets and bedding you get an A+

The great crab feast

We loved Nick and Lise’s beautiful bed and breakfast and their great company, we ate many wonderful meals and really enjoyed the ocean, hot tub and boat ride. We enjoyed Stanley Park, Grouse Mountain, Minter Gardens and Harrison Hot Springs. We did some local hiking and there is nothing like catching up with old friends! And who could forget the great crab feast, we did so much it was hard to pick what we enjoyed the most it was a most refreshing time.

Your place is marvelous!

Many thanks, your place is marvelous, Nick and Lise are absolutely beautiful souls and we are lucky to now have them as friends. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts we love the beautiful beach front, the hot tub and the luxurious bed.

Magic Summer Nights

Nick and Lise thought of everything and treated us like royalty; from the bottle of champagne on the first night the most comfortable bed fluffy robes and endless supply of towels. This is our place of choice, the magic summer nights, the breakfasts that would suddenly appear with a marvelous selection of bagels, muffins and cakes!.

Nothing was too much trouble, we felt like we were part of the family. Thanks and we will be seeing you soon. Our favorite moments include a crab supper and seeing the seals play from the deck, there is such a fantastic view one can enjoy with the chilled glass of wine. Thank you!
